TCS scores additional order for SNAP VSAT systems services from US Army
The United States Army recently shelled out an additional $3.4 million of incremental funding to TeleCommunication Systems (TCS) for more equipment and additional field services support and maintenance of SNAP VSAT satellite communications systems equipment.
The Army’s Project Manager for the Warfighter Information Network – Tactical (PM WIN-T) Commercial Satellite Terminal Program paid for its recent procurement of additional TCS SATCOM equipment and services through its World-Wide Satellite Systems (WWSS) contract vehicle.
SNAP stands for Secure internet protocol router and Non-secure internet protocol router Access Point. The SNAP VSAT systems offered and maintained by TCS convey encrypted voice, video, and data over secured multimedia communications capabilities.
